Gymnasts Are On Track For Glory

Chichester Olympic Gymnastic Club have taken delivery of two invaluable assets to put them on course for the planned growth of the club and increased community awareness.

They now believe they are in a strong position to take the club forward and develop exciting opportunities for new and existing gymnasts.

First to arrive was the club’s support vehicle, sponsored by The Sign Shop, Quarry Lane, Chichester.

The vehicle will be used to transport equipment to outside functions as well as being a visual advertisement, promoting awareness within the Chichester area, and at events farther afield.

Next was the new inflatable air track, which the club has been raising funds for over the past six months.

The air track has a dynamic effect, somewhere between a tumble track and a trampoline.  It can be used for recreational and competitive  gymnastics so will be used by every member of the club.

The advantages of having one of these tracks, is that it allows gymnasts to perform skills in a consumer friendly manner and within a short period of time, all can achieve a higher skill level with greater technical accuracy.

The air track can be used for warming up and strength training sessions.

Coaches can easily help any gymnast during difficult moves by standing on the track.    During training sessions, even fewer injuries will occur while using an air track, compared to a standard tumble track.
